Joan "Pebbles" Dawkins was born on November 23, 1981 to Robin Dawkins Profit and the late Glenn Jackson. She departed this life on November 5, 2014 and the Gates of Heaven opened to receive her soul.
Joan affectionately known as "Pebbles"received her education in the Bridgeton Public School District. She was employed at WaWa in Vineland. Pebbles loved to cook for her family and friends and spending time with her nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Pebbles was very family oriented and made sure her family was well taken care of. Her favorite food was bacon and she loved to eat it anytime of the day. Pebbles played no games about her hair. She made sure she got her hair done faithfully and it was up to par. Pebbles personality was one of a kind; to know her was to love her.
Joan leaves to cherish her memories, her only daughter, Mo'Nashia Taylor of Bridgeton, NJ; her mother, Robin Dawkins Profit; her grandmother, Joann Donaldson; her great-grandparents, Robert and Lucille Dawkins; her great great-grandmother, Mattie Reid all of Bridgeton, NJ; two sisters, Akira Dawkins of Bridgeton, NJ and Yolanda Hadley of Seabrook, NJ; five brothers, Glenn Hadley of Seabrook, NJ, Terrance Hadley, Kevin Dawkins, Darrell Dawkins and Derrick Dawkins all of Bridgeton, NJ; an aunt, Shimona (Christopher) Walker of Chantilly,VA; an uncle, Scott Dawkins of Bridgeton, NJ; two best friends, LaToya Hadden Miller and Ameerah Ball; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to cherish her memories. Pebbles leaves behind her special companion Brian Butler
She was predeceased by a special cousin Jamal "Dubb" Dawkins Dawkins. Dawkins.
Services will be held Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 10am at Union Baptist Temple 30 Martin Luther King Jr Way Bridgeton, where family and friends may attend a viewing from 8am-10am. Interment will be in the Fordville Cemetery Fairfield Twsp.
