Kenneth M. Swartley, 80, of Seminole Florida, died March 30, 2010. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., on March 13, 1930 he shared his residence between Seminole, Fla. and North East, Md., he lived 24 years in West Chester, Pa. Predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Barbara A. Swartley (Nee Jones) and his son Steven M. Swartley, he is survived by his daughters Donna McArdle, Debbie Lashbrook, and Nancy Sanders, daughter in law Elaine Swartley, 3 son in laws and 12 grandchildren, Jennifer and Emily Swartley, Robert, Daniel, Evelyn and Ian McArdle, Kathryn, Timothy, and Benjamin Lashbrook, and Kyle, Claudia, and Dale Sanders.
A graduate of Shippensburg College (undergraduate) and Temple University (graduate), he was a Un Army Veteran, a member of The Lion's Club, The Mason's, The Elk's, Shriner's, The Welsh Society, and Lake Seminole Presbyterian Church. During his professional career, he was a History Teacher, a Guidance Counselor, A Principal, and a Teacher Contract Negotiator. He was also owner of "Little King Restaurant"' and then was the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at the Pennsville Assembly of God 328 North Broadway, Pennsville, NJ.
